I told Device manager to search that folder and it said "The best version of this driver is already installed" or something like that, the funny thing was, it didn't have The "6-in-1" programming software is only available for Windows.
Finally, as with all usb products, install the drivers first and then connect the device if Windows does not identify and install drivers after just plugging it in. Removal: There is no "Uninstaller" for this file. It should be very old, because I can see that it is for Windows 98 and Windows ME. MarkO T tswift1 15 Aug 2009 @MarkO I am curious..

I did it like this: Open up Device Manager and right click the faulty Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port driver, with the warning in yellow. My Puxing PX-777 Plus radios can be programmed using a USB Programming Cable. One is "PL-2303 Driver Installer" and the other is "PL-2303 Vista Driver Installer." You need to run the Vista installer (try running it as Administrator as well).
