I recently installed Ubuntu 12.10 and downloaded Code::Blocks with GCC compiler.

I don't understand what was wrong but uninstalling QtCreator and then re-installing it via the ubuntu software center application worked for me... Once ticked, the checkbox automatically becomes blank again! Just for you to know, the latest version of Qt Creator I found still working with catkin workspaces is version 2.7.2.
