Can you connect from your LAN to the FTPD? Proftpd Config Thanks Eric, We're really close. If a system user is logging into your ftp service, that user will have write/read/execute permissions based on the ownership of the directories and files within that users home directory.

Is there any way to structure security so that I can keep using ftponly while restricting test2 to its files within the /ftp/test2 directory and test3 to its files within /ftp/test3?
