Quoting from the manpage, xvfb-run is a wrapper for the Xvfb(1x) command which simplifies the task of running commands (typically an X client, or a script containing a list of clients http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/111831/cannot-connect-to-x-server-0-0-as-superuser when you're logged in remotely (but the number can change depending on how many X connections are active).

What now? The address of the display is normally indicated in the DISPLAY environment variable. If so, then it likely is. I have just added the line: Defaults env_keep="DISPLAY XAUTHORITY" at the end of visudo.
